Lambda Sigma History

Historically, membership in Lambda Sigma was open to the academic top one fourth of the junior class and the top one third of the senior class. Lambda Sigma members must be active Burt and Mullett members. Officers in Lambda Sigma could not be officers in Burt and Mullett in order that maximum opportunity was provided for leadership in both organizations. That rule was adjusted in recent years due to inactivity within Lambda Sigma. Lambda Sigma hosted a scholarship night each fall, organized a practice test and review sessions with department faculty for the first part of the survey licensing examination and conducted an inaugertation each spring which involved a buffet luncheon, a guest speaker, and an induction ceremony.
